there’s a lot of bests. seeing what chip does with it. figuring out how the fuck i feel about feelings. figuring out a little bit better how other people might have felt about how i felt about feelings. actual feelings. getting to write dirty jokes. getting to write jokes. getting to write about love. fooling everybody into reading a romance comic. selling out. selling out again. selling out AGAIN. proving a lotttttt of people wrong — which is petty and shitty of me, i know, but i love doubling-down on gut instinct and being right. I love it just a little bit more than i love watching a buncha two-face knives-out motherfuckers trying to smile as they eat shit in the cold light of day. that’s even MORE petty and shitty of me but, cmon. it’s great. like the only thing better than winning is winning AND making a bunch of assholes feel and look like assholes — The MEATBALLS Subjugation. In all things let us be like Tripper Harrison.
really, honestly, getting to work with chip. and getting to try to one-up each other.
Like — someone uses a taser in issue 4 and chip, for literally no discernable reason, made them look like electric fleshlights. Little vaginas with handles. ZAP. it’s just — little things like that.
The best part of writing SEX CRIMINALS are seeing Chip Zdarsky’s Shocktopussies.
Though a rapidly-rising second place has to be talking to the readers. the letters are fucking AMAZING.
Buffy Meme - (2/4) Relationships → Giles & Anya
"If it wasn’t for me, Giles would be a dterrified old man staring at a quarterly tax statement and wetting himself."
Anya was my favourite. She’s so like me. Emma Caulfield is also a genius.
Also lovely to have a (sort of) friendship between an older man and a young woman that was neither parental or sexual.
I loved scenes between those two.
Would any fellow knitter/crocheters be interested in doing a traveling frankenscarf next year? I’m thinking something like a dozen of us knitting or crocheting a 6-7” section each. No restrictions on pattern or colour or fibre (good way to get rid of your yarn odds & ends) - just go with whatever inspires you. OR we could make it interesting & each person includes some yarn that the next crafter has to use, and so on.
Sounds like fun!
